Book Review: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Comin’ at you with a book review today!

I haven’t written one of these in QUITE some time, so bear with me my friends.

After seeing The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo absolutely everywhere for quite a while and hearing everybody absolutely rave about it, I decided that I needed to read it myself and see what all the hype was about.

I had high expectations going into this book because everyone had been raving about it, and I also knew absolutely nothing about the premise. Knowing nothing about it meant that every single aspect was a total surprise for me.

I loved the old Hollywood setting. One of my favorite actresses of all time is Elizabeth Montgomery and this setting is kind of her era of Hollywood and acting. The twist in the book was kind of surprising but not really, I won’t spoil it for anyone who still hasn’t read it, but it makes a lot of sense!

Overall I liked this book but didn’t love it as much as I thought I would. It took me about two days to read which is pretty good for a book of this length (389 pages) that I’m not obsessing over. Overall I gave this book 4 stars on GoodReads.
