The Top 3 Places to Visit in Utah (No Hiking or Skiing Required)!

I know people come from all over every year to ski in the Utah snow and Hike our incredible mountain ranges, but I don’t do any of that. I’ve lived in Utah my entire life and can probably count on one hand the number of times I’ve hiked here. Also I’ve ski’d ONCE. I’m just not majorly into the outdoors. So what are my top 3 places in Utah? Keep reading!

1. Park City, Utah

Park City is the cutest little town guys. See those pretty buildings? I love it! Someday if I ever become a multi-millionaire I’m 100% buying one of the amazing colorful houses surrounding Main Street and renting it out as an Airbnb most of the year. Obviously it’s known as a ski town but there is SO much more to do there. This past January my parents and I got to go up to the Sundance Film Festival and hang out for a day. We saw a film, got a tour of the projection room/balcony area, and were driven around in a VIP car. Turns out there are perks to your dad’s company running the show πŸ˜‰

But you don’t need perks to having an amazing time in Park City. Gorgeous Resorts(Someday I’ll go up for a weekend and probably never leave the resort), Main street area shopping, Nearby Outlet shopping, and even just hanging out to spot celebrities during festival times can all be great winter activities.

In the summer they open a big market on Main Street with tons of amazing booths to shop at(I got some necklaces at one of the booths right before I started high school and still love them). You can take the ski lift up and straight back down to take in the views without actually doing any of the work(πŸ™ŒπŸ»). Although I don’t recommend that if you’re scared of heights because it’s a long way down! And I can’t forget the Alpine Slide! Take a trip down the mountain in your own little slide vehicle, you control the speed!

There are so many great places to eat too, you just can’t go wrong.

2. Bear Lake, Utah

Unfortunately it’s been a few years since I last went to Bear Lake but it is truly my family’s favorite place in the state. We talk about getting a cabin up there ALL. THE. TIME. The entire area is gorgeous but that lake water? The prettiest blue and the most clear water I have ever seen in real life. Boating on the lake is so much fun and if you don’t have a boat of your own you can rent one! My family rented one about 10 years ago on our first trip and had the best day! The last few trips we’ve just taken our blow up toys to the beach and hung out in the shallower areas. Still fun!

Don’t forget to grab yourself a shake at one of the amazing shake places near the lake! They’re famous for their raspberry shakes but I’m a rebel and usually get OreoπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ Another family favorite is the Bear Lake Pizza Co! Huge delicious pizzas and there is a candy shop attached so it’s a win-winπŸ˜‰

The KOA is a great place to stay if you’re up for camping in a tent, trailer, or renting a cabin. Need something a little more like home? You’ll have to book further in advance but there are condos and cabins available as well.

3. St. George, Utah

I can’t even tell you how much I love St. George. If I ever decide to stay in Utah (my current plan is to move out of state or even out of country!), I would definitely move to St. George. In fact, my parents have been looking at houses to move down for a few years now. St. George is growing SO fast and there is constantly new stuff going in. Gorgeous houses, incredible scenery, pretty amazing weather, It’s the perfect winter destination.

There are so many great condos, hotels, and resorts to stay at whether you want to stay in the middle of everything or more on the outskirts of town they’ve got you covered.

From live theater at Tuacahn Amphitheater to the St. George Children’s Museum, you can have the most relaxing or the most exciting weekend.

Plus if you want a little more excitement? Las Vegas is only 2.5 hours away πŸ™‚

Have you been to these places? Have you thought about it? Let me know in the comments!
